Wall Street closes at a record for the first time since end of January
Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Industrials and Basic Materials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 gained 0.71% to hit a new 3-months high.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were NIBE Industrier AB ser. B (ST:NIBEb), which rose 2.79% or 1.20 points to trade at 44.60 at the close. Meanwhile, H & M Hennes & Mauritz AB B (ST:HMb) added 1.67% or 2.30 points to end at 139.80 and Boliden AB (ST:BOL) was up 1.59% or 5.00 points to 320.30 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Essity AB B (ST:ESSITYb), which fell 0.65% or 1.60 points to trade at 243.80 at the close. Svenska Cellulosa SCA AB B (ST:SCAb) declined 0.35% or 0.50 points to end at 129.00 and Telia Company AB (ST:TELIA) was down 0.09% or 0.03 points to 34.50.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 402 to 353 and 70 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for September delivery was down 1.13% or 0.72 to $63.24 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 0.75% or 0.50 to hit $66.13 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.15% or 5.10 to trade at $3,399.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.27% to 11.16, while USD/SEK fell 0.73% to 9.56.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.45% at 97.92.
