Trump says Iran war "close to over" amid hopes for more negotiations
Investing.com – Brazil stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Consumption, Real Estate and Public Utilities sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Sao Paulo, the Bovespa rose 1.04%.
The best performers of the session on the Bovespa were Raia Drogasil SA (BVMF:RADL3), which rose 18.67% or 2.80 points to trade at 17.80 at the close. Meanwhile, MRV Engenharia e Participacoes SA (BVMF:MRVE3) added 7.24% or 0.43 points to end at 6.37 and Minerva SA/Brazil (BVMF:BEEF3) was up 6.28% or 0.31 points to 5.25 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Companhia Brasileira De Distribuica (BVMF:PCAR3), which fell 10.36% or 0.35 points to trade at 3.03 at the close. Raizen SA Preferred (BVMF:RAIZ4) declined 2.90% or 0.04 points to end at 1.34 and SLC Agricola SA (BVMF:SLCE3) was down 2.43% or 0.44 points to 17.65.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the B3 Stock Exchange by 480 to 455 and 58 ended unchanged.
Shares in Raizen SA Preferred (BVMF:RAIZ4) fell to all time lows; down 2.90% or 0.04 to 1.34.
The CBOE Brazil Etf Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of Bovespa options, was down 3.00% to 26.54.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.09% or 3.20 to $3,431.50 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 1.57% or 1.02 to hit $64.14 a barrel, while the September US coffee C contract fell 1.36% or 4.05 to trade at $294.65 .
USD/BRL was down 0.80% to 5.46, while EUR/BRL fell 0.19% to 6.37.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.55% at 98.04.
