Trump says Iran war "close to over" amid hopes for more negotiations
Investing.com – Brazil stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Industrials, Public Utilities and Real Estate sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Sao Paulo, the Bovespa gained 0.95%.
The best performers of the session on the Bovespa were Embraer SA (BVMF:EMBR3), which rose 10.93% or 7.51 points to trade at 76.25 at the close. Meanwhile, Companhia Brasileira De Distribuica (BVMF:PCAR3) added 5.80% or 0.20 points to end at 3.65 and Magazine Luiza SA (BVMF:MGLU3) was up 5.16% or 0.36 points to 7.34 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Engie Brasil Energia SA (BVMF:EGIE3), which fell 2.39% or 1.00 points to trade at 40.81 at the close. Raia Drogasil SA (BVMF:RADL3) declined 2.17% or 0.30 points to end at 13.55 and Bradespar SA (BVMF:BRAP4) was down 1.85% or 0.30 points to 15.90.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the B3 Stock Exchange by 514 to 406 and 65 ended unchanged.
The CBOE Brazil Etf Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of Bovespa options, was down 0.51% to 29.19.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 1.73% or 58.55 to $3,322.65 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 1.63% or 1.13 to hit $70.34 a barrel, while the September US coffee C contract fell 1.26% or 3.75 to trade at $292.75 .
USD/BRL was unchanged 0.05% to 5.58, while EUR/BRL fell 1.14% to 6.36.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 1.06% at 99.69.
