Trump says Iran war "close to over" amid hopes for more negotiations
Investing.com – Brazil stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Electric Power, Public Utilities and Real Estate sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Sao Paulo, the Bovespa gained 0.17%.
The best performers of the session on the Bovespa were Companhia Brasileira De Distribuica (BVMF:PCAR3), which rose 8.62% or 0.25 points to trade at 3.15 at the close. Meanwhile, Ultrapar Participacoes SA (BVMF:UGPA3) added 4.35% or 0.75 points to end at 18.01 and Auren Energia SA (BVMF:AURE3) was up 4.05% or 0.42 points to 10.78 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Azzas 2154 SA (BVMF:AZZA3), which fell 3.42% or 1.11 points to trade at 31.33 at the close. Marfrig Alimentos SA (BVMF:MRFG3) declined 3.16% or 0.74 points to end at 22.66 and RUMO Logistica Operadora Multimodal SA (BVMF:RAIL3) was down 3.11% or 0.48 points to 14.95.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the B3 Stock Exchange by 494 to 408 and 78 ended unchanged.

The CBOE Brazil Etf Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of Bovespa options, was up 8.30% to 26.24.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 1.00% or 33.65 to $3,392.35 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 1.89% or 1.17 to hit $62.94 a barrel, while the December US coffee C contract rose 1.25% or 4.35 to trade at $353.40 .
USD/BRL was down 0.39% to 5.48, while EUR/BRL fell 0.38% to 6.39.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.02% at 98.14.
